La Hacienda Heathland boasts a variety of natural landscapes ranging from a plateau area (holes 1 to 5, 17 and 18) to the valley area through which the holes twist and turn their way. The course offers a variety of natural landscapes ranging from an area of plateaus where the course resembles a "heathland" type course, with wide fairways and exceptional views of the Mediterranean, to the area of the valley where the holes wind along it and incorporate various obstacles of water.
Like its sister course the views at the Heathland are superb, ranging from the Mediterranean across to Gibraltar and even the Sierra Nevada. In perfect weather, this golf course is beautiful to play on, but sea breezes transform the course adding to the challenge.
With a good mix of long and short par 4s, par 5s and par 3s, with the 17th and 18th providing an exciting finish.
