The Links Course, as its name suggests, is built with the traditional Scottish Links style in mind. The rippling fairways are wide, filled with sometimes wild undulations and open to a wind that can gust and play its own games.
Its treeless and barren appearance provides a stark reminder of the nature of British links courses. The rough is harsh, the bunkers many and the greens small, fast and subtly contoured.
Unlike a true links golf course, there's an abundance of water with 8 lakes scattered around the course and the designer has used them with a cunning tenacity, constantly reminding golfers the need for careful thought before every shot.
